July – Clip dead flower blooms to keep the rest blooming longer, and if you don’t have grass – or don’t want the maintenance – it’s a good time to plant low-maintenance ground cover such as confederate jasmine or purple lantana. If you have a lawn with a sprinkler system, it’s a good time to invest in an override device. It will detect if your yard is moist enough and keep sprinklers from going off when they don’t need to.
