Lennar, the nation’s only A+ home builder according to Builder Magazine, is partnering with the Grand Strand Humane Society to increase adoptions and put more pets in new homes.
Through the end of the year, Lennar Myrtle Beach will feature (nearly) life-size cutouts of a pair of shelter animals in Welcome Home Centers at its Horry County communities. The partnership is part of an effort to help the Grand Strand Humane Society increase adoptions by 20% percent year over year in the final quarter of 2015.
“We understand that for many of our residents, no home is complete without a pet,” said Lennar Coastal Carolinas area sales manager Bob Peiffer. “This initiative is a terrific way to add something special to the experience for our home buyers while helping the local pet community.”
Lennar and the Humane Society will host a kickoff adoption event from 11 a. m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at Lennar’s Covington Lake East community, 3003 Cristine Court, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29579. Covington Lake East, one of Lennar’s newest neighborhoods, was selected as the event host site for its robust outdoor spaces and vicinity to the beach. In other words, it’s a perfect spot for dogs.
“We’re delighted to partner with Lennar, and get more animals placed with loving families,” said Grand Strand Humane Society president Elena Nicholas. “Our organization is committed to giving abandoned animals a second chance and we hope they’ll get it in a brand-new Lennar home.”
