It is well known that Austin, Texas has been booming for the past few years but now it has been named the Top City for Young Entrepreneurs, according to a study done by personal finance site NerdWallet. As a city with a long list of tech start-ups, this recognition comes at no surprise.
According to the Forbes article, “To determine the best cities for young entrepreneurs, personal finance site NerdWallet looked at 181 cities across the country for which cost of living data was available and measured factors including access to funding, percentage of the local population aged 25 to 34, the local economy, and cost of living.” The article goes on to state that nearly one fifth of the Austin- Round Rock population falls into the Millennials age bracket of 24-35 years old.
