Two-and-a-half years, four visits from Michigan to the Tampa Bay area, and tours of over 70 different homes – this is what led Traci and Marlo Moore and their two young children to their new Lennar home in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Knowing they wanted to move to the Tampa Bay area, the couple was in search of a new home that would provide the perfect environment for their 5-year-old daughter, Kynnedy, and 2-year-old son, Noah, to grow up.
After a long search, they found Lennar’s 2,204-square-foot Magnolia floorplan in the community of Wiregrass Ranch to be the perfect fit for their young and active family. They moved into their new home in early July and have been settling in to the lively Wesley Chapel community.
“This home was exactly what we were looking for,” Traci said. “The layout of the home was different than any other home we saw while looking to move to Florida. We love the spacious, open floorplan, and the detached garage connected by a breezeway adds a level of privacy that you don’t always find in residential communities.”
In addition to finding the right home, the Moores also found everything they were looking for in the Wesley Chapel area: a chance to be part of an up-and-coming community, a quick drive to their favorite place – the beach – and many dining options to satisfy their “foodie” cravings. They are also excited about the area’s A-rated schools, including Wiregrass Elementary, where their daughter will attend kindergarten this year.
Another draw was Lennar’s “Everything’s Included” program, which includes a number of upgraded features in the list price of each home. The Moores’ home came with features such as GE stainless steel kitchen appliances, granite countertops, a high-efficiency heating and air conditioning system, and a large-capacity washer and dryer. Knowing that all of these fixtures would already be in place when they arrived made the idea of moving more than 1,000 miles seem much easier, Traci said.
The Moore family is one of many making the move to the Tampa Bay area. According to a recent study by Realtor.com, the Tampa area is the No. 1 place people are moving to in the United States, and many are coming from Northern states.
As Lennar continues construction in Wiregrass Ranch, it plans to build 207 homes with prices starting in the high $200s for single-family homes and the high $100s for townhomes. The community’s townhomes range from 1,801 square feet to 2,466 square feet, each with three bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a two-car garage.
