We are excited to help guide you every step of your homebuying journey. Now that you’ve signed a purchase agreement, you will be introduced to your New Home Concierge. This dedicated Lennar expert will help guide you, answer questions and support you every moment until move-in day.
There are several key moments in your journey but remember – we’re at your service, from start to finish.
Prioritize Key Mortgage Dates
After you sign your purchase agreement, we require you to make your loan application within five days. Doing so gets the ball rolling on the mortgage team and your Concierge will be available to answer any questions that may come up.
Underwriting & Loan Commitment
Once you submit your loan application, it goes into the underwriting stage. After the underwriting review, we will look to receive a loan commitment or “conditional approval” within 30 days of signing your purchase agreement.
Your Closing Letter
Once the earlier/previous steps are complete and construction is nearly finished, making it possible to pinpoint a completion date, you and your Concierge will receive a “closing letter.” An email notification will be sent to you containing your closing date and the processes surrounding it. Note: at that time, it will be an estimated closing date.
New Home Orientation
This typically happens in the week leading up to your closing date and requires in-person attendance, either by yourself or a representative. It’s the opportunity to meet one of our Customer Care specialists and learn all about your new home. From floorplan and feature guidance to home maintenance and warranty information, you’ll work alongside the specialist to mark off any remaining items or touch-ups that need to be done prior to closing.
New Home Celebration
It’s almost move-in day! This is sometimes referred to as your final walkthrough and typically done the day before closing. You will meet with your construction manager to review and tour the home before signing off that everything is good to go for moving in.
Closing Day
Congrats! This is a day you’ll remember. It’s when you get the keys and officially take ownership of your brand-new Lennar home.
