Home prices in New Jersey continue to rise as demand outpaces supply. According to recent data, the statewide median sales price increased 6.7% year-over-year to $575,000, while the number of available homes for sale declined 1.7% over the same period.

When adjusting for home size, price per square foot in the Northeast rose by 4.0% year-over-year, indicating real appreciation in home values beyond headline prices. The median list price in the Northeast also ticked up 1.8%, underscoring the market’s strength in New Jersey and surrounding areas. This tight inventory and upward pressure on prices mean homes that are move-in ready and priced right are in exceptionally high demand.
