The first day of school is right around the corner for some of Riverstone’s youngest residents. Thursday, August 14, 2025 marks the official return for students in the Golden Valley Unified School District. At Stone Creek Elementary, the halls will soon be buzzing with the energy of eager TK–6th graders ready to start a new year of learning and friendships.

Looking Ahead: Canyon Creek Elementary Opening in 2026
Exciting growth is on the horizon for Golden Valley Unified School District and the surrounding Riverstone community. In Fall 2026, the brand-new Canyon Creek Elementary School will open its doors in Lennar’s Club District at Riverstone. Canyon Creek, home of the Cardinals, will serve TK–6th graders in a modern learning environment. Lennar is building several new homes just minutes from the future campus, giving families the opportunity to settle in before the first school bell rings.
