Lennar Atlanta’s Final Homes in Blackstone Selling Now
Since Lennar Atlanta opened its model home in Blackstone in mid-2015, the family-friendly community has welcomed almost 50 new families who are eager to put down their roots in the rapidly-growing area around Cumming in South Forsyth. Just a few homes remain in Blackstone, a well-planned and carefully designed neighborhood of spacious single family homes built on the former farmland of one Forsyth family, descendants of two Blackstock brothers who emigrated from Ireland to the United States in the early 1700s.
In the late 1820s, part of the Blackstock family moved from South Carolina to the area that is now Forsyth, where they established a thriving farm including crops and cattle. When the original farmhouse burned down toward the end of the century, the family rebuilt a more modern structure in the exact same spot, with a long porch along three sides – with, of course, the perfect porch swing.
Homebuyers have discovered that Blackstone is a great place for both growing families as well as active adults who want to live closer to their children and grandchildren. It is easy is to get around, and people appreciate Forsyth County’s excellent school system including Lanier Technical College and a branch of North Georgia College, as well as the many job opportunities in the area.
Today, a few final homes remain in Lennar Atlanta’s Blackstone neighborhood in South Forsyth. The single family homes are well-crafted and built according to Lennar’s exacting standards.
