His military training included Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at the Army Field Artillery School in Fort Sill, OK, where he attained the prestigious Military Occupational Specialty of 13 Bravo, Cannon Crewmember.

Upon completing his training, he attended airborne school and proudly served in the illustrious 82nd Airborne Division. His deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom further underscores his commitment to serving his country. Among his numerous military awards and decorations are the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Afghanistan Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation and Achievement Medals, reflecting his valor and service.
Tragically, Sergeant Blackman was injured after his discharge, leading to his paralysis from the chest down. Yet, despite this significant challenge, he remains an unwavering example of resilience and determination. His unshakeable spirit is an inspiration, particularly to his children, demonstrating the true essence of a hero and role model.
Lennar is thrilled to be part of this meaningful relationship and happily welcomes Sergeant Blackman to Percheron. We are honored to provide him with a brand-new home, tailored to his needs and look forward to being part of his journey.
