A typical baby will use anywhere from 10 to 12 diapers a day and a toddler about eight, which means a family can go through hundreds in just a week. Because welfare programs do not provide infant hygiene supplies, one in three families nationwide struggle to provide diapers for their babies, with many parents having to make the difficult decision between buying diapers, food and other necessities.
But during uncertain times, this number can be even higher. Now more than ever families need our help as our economy bounces back and Lennar and HomeAid believe all babies deserve clean, fresh diapers – and that’s what Builders for Babies is all about. Lennar, HomeAid Colorado and other builders are teaming up to help bring diapers to families in need with a goal of collecting 1.5 million diapers by May 15th.
And this year, we’re making it simple to donate – simply CLICK HERE to access the online donation portal and select the number of diapers you’d like to contribute. Participants can also choose to donate baby wipes to ensure the little babies out there have clean bottoms.
