From wreaths to table centerpieces, take a look at a few of our favorite projects to dive into this season:
Natural Vases: Fresh flowers for fall always make a statement, especially in a unique vase. Choose produce like gourds and squash in different colors and sizes, and dig a hole to accommodate your flowers for a fresh, natural addition to any space in your home.
Ombre Pumpkin Centerpiece: You never need an excuse to put a beautiful centerpiece on your table. Paint mini white pumpkins in different shades (think reds and pinks, greens and blues, or light, cream colors) and situate them throughout the center of your table.
Leaf Cards: Let your kids join in on a fun arts and crafts project! Have them gather up leaves outside and glue them to stationary cards. You can then purchase a “card holder tree” to display them. This is the perfect decor piece for their play area or bedroom.
Grapevine Wreath: There’s nothing sweeter than coming home to fall flair on your front door. Use floral wire to bundle fresh olive branches together, and attach them to a wire wreath form. You can also add dried flowers for a pop for color.
Pumpkin Place Settings: Even if you’re preparing for a smaller Thanksgiving gathering this year, you can still enjoy the process of creating unique table place settings. Mini pumpkins, whether in orange or white, are beautiful vases for flowers like dahlias.

Simply combine flour, baking soda, and salt, add this to the bottom of your jar. Next up- sugar! Just layer the white and brown sugar then top it off with chocolate chips. All your happy neighbors will need to complete their treats is ¾ cup of butter and an egg! That’s right, that’s it. You can also whip up a small directional card to tie to the jar- check out this example below! You can type this up and print on some fun holiday paper. If you want to take an extra step, find some fun cookie cutters and tie them to the jars!

Not only will the grocery stores be chaotic, but they might not have a full stock so late in the game. Make your game plan early enough so that you still have time in case of any surprises. From the signature turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn and candied yams, create a list of all the foods your family loves – and maybe throw in new ones too.
Attend a parade (from home)
Many local events and parades have been cancelled for health and safety reasons, but several are going digital. The famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City is celebrating its 94th anniversary and this year, they’re moving forward without the crowds and going virtual. That means even if you don’t live in New York you can still enjoy this extraordinary experience right from home. Check out other local parades in your area, they might be going virtual, too, so you can still enjoy some of your usual traditions.
