Settlers built their homes here near places whose names evoke tranquility and warmth. Today, a new generation blazes pioneering trails in a place called Osborne Trails.
Osborne Trails, Westfield’s first 55-plus community, even has a Trailblazers Founders Club for the first 15 homebuyers at one of Lennar’s most successful Grand Openings in Indiana. Those represent just a fraction of new homebuyers at the community just 4 miles from 19th-century Westfield’s enchanting downtown.
Osborne Trails ain’t your granddaddy’s active-adult community.

Osborne Trails’ showpiece, the RETREAT clubhouse (Coming Spring 2021), features a two-story fireplace soaring over a sleek, stylish lounge and gathering spot. A full buffet of amenities await including a fitness center, library/conference room, Pilates/yoga studio, billiard room and TV lounge with full kitchen perfect for culinary classes or neighborhood cook-offs, arts and crafts space.
Outside, a heated swimming pool with covered lanai and fireplace, pickle ball courts and a tennis court are steps away. Through 180 lush green acres, 3 miles of trails wind past homes thoughtfully designed for active homeowners.
In every new home, Everything’s Included®. That’s Lennar’s signature array of standard features, such as quartz countertops in the kitchen and baths, stainless steel appliances and hard-surface flooring in the main living areas, among many.

Three distinct ranges of new home designs include the Southern Collection (featuring an option for flexible layouts for private offices or study areas), the value-rich Northern Collection and the elegant Central Collection.
Since Lennar’s grandest of Grand Openings in early March, Osborne Trails “Trailblazers” have also discovered Westfield’s enviable destinations.

Nestled at 193rd Street and Spring Mill Road, Osborne Trails is just steps from Grand Park Sports Campus — a premier 400-acre complex boasting 31 multi-purpose fields, 26 diamonds and 3 indoor facilities. Westfield’s charming downtown is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, with quaint shops and eateries up and down Park Avenue adding an even tastier touch of home and offering so much local flavor for foodies.
Worn out from so many things to do? Osborne Trails’ homes, with fully sodded yards and irrigation systems, are all part of Lennar’s low-maintenance living here.
Small wonder Osborne Trails opened with the same can-do spirit of Indiana’s early pioneers. To blaze your own trail to Lennar’s exceptional active-adult community, contact Lennar’s New Home Consultants at (317) 659-3230 for an appointment or private self-tour or email LennarIND@Lennar.com.
The transition to Fall means cooler temperatures and cozier evenings at home, which is the perfect time to decorate your home to match! We’ve put together a quick guide of autumnal decorating tips to help make your home feel more festive.
A simple way to transition your home décor from summer to fall is to swap out pastel florals for autumnal blooms. Outfit your dining room table with the colors of the season by introducing orange blossoms or even dried yellow botanicals. A festive centerpiece on your granite or quartz countertops is sure to be the talk of the table.
One of the best things about Tampa-area living is the beautiful fall nights with slightly cooler temperatures, making it an optimal time to enjoy your outdoor living space. Add a few string lights or lanterns, some earth-tone pillows, and a fuzzy throw or two to really make your space feel warm and seasonal.
Nothing really says ‘Fall’ quite like pumpkins, and there are so many ways to use them in your home! Grab one of your favorite rustic dish and layer small pumpkins for a simple yet festive centerpiece or try placing them in a vase with dried florals. You can also artfully arrange pumpkins and gourds on your mantlepiece or front porch for a warm and welcoming touch.

After the humidity of summer, it will be nice to bring some cozier materials into your home like chunky knit blankets and tartan pillows. Fall is all about celebrating your favorite patterns, so don’t be afraid to play with layering flannel, plaid, and knit materials in the form of pillows, throws, rugs, and sheet sets. We guarantee your owner’s suite never looked so festive!
A warm greeting in the form of an autumnal wreath is a beautiful and easy way to get your home ready for the season. There are so many wonderful materials you can experiment with to make your own wreath, so don’t be shy about trying something new! From incorporating birch bark to pine cones, burlap or acorns, you can create your own unique piece and also get the kids involved!
There are so many ways to decorate your home for fall, and we hope that some of these ideas inspire your Lennar and WCI home décor this season! For more home decorating tips and inspiration, be sure to ‘like’ Lennar on Facebook.

As most of us continue to work from home, there is no denying the importance of having a dedicated and organized office space. Here are five tips on creating your perfect home office:
Comfort is everything when it comes to both your health and your productivity. Regardless of how long your workday is, you need a comfortable and ergonomic chair. Here are a few things to look for when shopping for your office chair:
Filling your workspace with tchotchkes, pictures, sticky notes, awards, candles, etc. may make you feel overwhelmed, can limit valuable desk space and may make it harder to find things.

A filing system can help detract from the clutter and help you stay organized. Even if you use a digital filing system, it’s always handy to have essential documents in a physical file. To stay organized, create a filing system with different categories. Having quick access to critical documents will help save you time and stress in the future.
Studies show that “natural light is the best medicine for an office.” A study by Cornell University showed that employees who received optimal light saw a 10% decrease in drowsiness, a 2% increase in productivity, and reduced eye strain and headaches. So, if you want to increase your productivity and improve your health, wellness, and energy, you may want to have your desk in a light-filled space.

Your environment is essential to your health, happiness, and overall performance. Color is known to influence productivity, creativity, and mood, so we suggest starting by painting the walls in your workspace.
Also, consider greenery beyond just the color of the walls. Many studies show that plants can help reduce stress and improve productivity. One study found that a plant-filled office can increase productivity by up to 15%!
By having a comfortable workspace in your home, you may find that it helps reduce stress, boosts your creativity, and increases your overall productivity. At Lennar, we have been incorporating beautiful and functional office spaces in our homes for years. To see how Lennar has reimagined the home office, call the Virginia / DC Metro Internet New Home Consultants at 877-785-3662 to schedule your tour.

Summer is in full bloom and while there are plenty more sunny days to enjoy, it also means the kids are getting ready to go back to school. If you’ve recently learned that your kids’ school won’t open for in-person instructions this year, now is the time to prepare your home for a virtual school year. From setting up a comfortable learning space to all the technology adjustments, we’ve put together some tips to help you get your home ready for the new school year.
Find/create a conducive learning space
Can you think of a comfy space in your home you can shape into the ultimate learning space? Flexible rooms like a den or loft are ideal, where you can transform the area by adding desks up against the wall, couches for some well-deserved breaks and even a television, so they can use it to stream videos or hang out and relax after classes are over. If your home doesn’t have a dedicated flexible space, get creative. Consider kitchen islands that have plenty of counter space so your students can spread their materials, dining room table, their bedroom – or take the learning outside and use the patio. After all, your student’s new learning space doesn’t actually have to look like a classroom.
Get your gear
For a virtual school year, there’s a few more materials to consider. The first is a reliable laptop with a camera. Yes, your desktop could work, but a laptop allows for mobility – they can change up their learning space and take their coursework outside for some fresh air, to the dining room table to enjoy a snack or the front porch for a change of scenery. Make sure you also have a power cord and surge protector handy, since you’ll be charging your devices a lot more than usual – plus earphones so your students can focus! And of course, don’t forget the essentials: a whiteboard, writing and art supplies, sticky notes and clipboards, as well as artwork, storage supplies and everything they need to stay organized and create a great learning environment.
Get with the program
Do you know what operating systems or apps your kids will be using this virtual school year? From Zoom to Teams, there’s a lot of features you can start exploring now before they actually begin instructions. Learn how to block out the surroundings to help them keep focus during class or surf the internet for the perfect background image to reflect their personality.
Take five outside
One of the things most students love about going back to school is getting to hang out with their friends again. Although this school year looks different, it doesn’t mean they can’t socialize right from the comfort of their home. Set up a great outdoor space for the kids to hang out outside during their breaks or after school, away from their new learning space and where they can relax and video chat with friends. You can also set up a picnic table so the kids can have lunch outdoors – or a tent for those cool summer nights and star gazing.
Team work makes the dream work
Before setting up shop, talk to your students. Get the inside scoop on what they want and need in order to have a successful virtual school year. Keep routinely discussing what is working and what isn’t. Do they feel cramped and need more space? A better chair? What distractions are they encountering? Get as much feedback from your students and together you can continue to work on a positive learning experience.
Need more space?
If you’re finding it difficult to set up a learning space in your home because there simply is not enough room, now might be a great time to explore something new. Our new homes across the nation are designed for today’s lifestyles and offer the ideal balance for both work and play. From open living areas, beautiful kitchens with plenty of counter space, flexible bonus rooms and more, our homes can provide you with all the room you need to accommodate your new lifestyle.

The Future of Health & Wellness
A group of researchers and developers recently partnered with a national survey company to ask 3,000 homeowners and renters about their living preferences with the aim of discovering how lifestyle changes imposed by COVID-19 and quarantine have affected their needs. (source)
In terms of indoor upgrades, the survey found that over 50% of respondents are willing to pay more for germ-resistant countertops and flooring, upgraded technology and greater energy efficiency. People in multifamily communities were all willing to pay for touchless building entry.
In terms of outdoor spaces, respondents asked for wider trail paths to maintain social distancing, larger parks, multiple open-air pavilions, private patios and balconies, and on-site health and wellness centers for residents.
Multifamily community respondents asked for a disinfection drop zone for deliveries, as well as more touchless/voice-activated fixtures and features.
When it comes to community and amenity areas, survey respondents asked for limited access to gyms, with key-fob entry and appointment schedules to maintain safe occupancy numbers, as well as germ-resistant surfaces throughout these spaces.
COVID-19 won’t last forever, but it’s likely to have long-term, if not permanent, effects on how we build and organize communities to create a sense of safety, health and wellness.
