Bakersfield, Calif. – April 2019 – Lennar is known in the industry for their Everything’s Included® approach to new home building. They have done the research to discover what kind of features and upgrades today’s homebuyers are looking for, and instead of charging extra for them like most other builders, they include them. The result is an easier home buying process and new homes with added value at a price that previously unattainable before.
“By eliminating a time-consuming and costly selection process for customized home features, we are able to produce high-quality homes at a significantly lower price and can pass these savings onto homebuyers,” said Susan Wilke, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Lennar Central Valley. “All of our new homes come complete with Everything’s Included features.”
Lennar’s Ashe Meadows offers three collections of new home designs: the California, Chateau and Skye Series. In total, 11 distinctive home designs are offered at Ashe Meadows with sizes that range from approximately 1,580 to 3,167 square feet of living space. They offer three to five bedrooms, two to four bathrooms, and two-bay garages. Homes are priced starting from the high $200,000s.

During the springtime, families travel near and far to celebrate holidays like Easter and Passover. So, if your relatives or friends are coming to town, here are some tips on how to prepare for guests:
The Guest Room
Making travel arrangements can leave people worn and tired, that’s why the first room you need to prepare is the guest room. If you have a devoted space for guests, make sure it has all the guest room essentials. First, you will need a bed with clean sheets. Your guest room should have a bed large enough to accommodate your guest(s). Add small touches like clocks, wastebaskets, a full-length mirror, an iron, tissues, and extra sheets and blankets to make guest rooms feel more comfortable and accommodating. Extra storage for your guests’ clothing and items can also transform how they feel about their stay. Instead of living out of a suitcase, your friend or relative has a designated area in the closet or a dresser for their personal things, making them feel more at home.
The Bathroom
Everything should be sparkling clean for your guests. Leave a set of clean towels and washcloths in the bathroom so guests don’t have to search through your closets to find them. If you want to go above and beyond, you can leave upscale toiletries so your guests don’t have to worry about having toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner.
Common Spaces
In the kitchen, you should leave labeled snacks and food for guests. If they get hungry, you want your guests to have something just for them that they can eat. Taking careful consideration of your guests’ food preferences can help them feel welcomed and at ease. If you have kids, adding extra people to your home can make it feel chaotic and stifling. To counteract this feeling, make sure all your common spaces are free of extra clutter. Be sure kids’ toys and essentials are put in their proper storage areas.
Having guests over should be delightful instead of nerve-wracking. If you prep and tidy up your home before your friends and family arrive, then you’ll have maximum fun without added stress. For more tips on home preparation, organization and interior design, make sure to like us on Facebook.
Unless you’re in the construction industry or just really good at knowing things, chances are Radiant Barrier Roof decking isn’t used in your daily conversations. We know exactly what it is, what it does, and the benefits of including it in your new home.
Radiant barrier roof sheathing is a layer of reflecting aluminum installed on the bottom side of our roof decking to block radiant heat transfer between a heat-radiating surface (think dark colored super-hot roof) and a heat absorbing surface (think fluffy pink insulation or perfectly painted ceilings) in your new Lennar home. Installed sheathing can reflect up to 97% of the sun’s heat from entering your attic in the summer and can reduce temperatures up to 30 degrees.

Warning: Science Content ahead
We all know heat travels from a warm area to a cool area by a combination of conduction, convection and radiation. No worries, the radiation we’re discussing isn’t the same kind that gave Spider-Man his superpowers.
We can talk about molecules, vibration, coefficients and thermal energy, but conduction requires physical contact for heat to move from a hotter material to a colder material. Think of every time you’ve grabbed a hot plate or cup and instantly jerked your hand away. That’s heat conduction.
Convection is boiled down (pun intended) to heat transfer through liquids. Since water in your attic is bad, we can skip this one.
Radiant heat travels in a straight line away from the how surface and will heat anything solid as the heat energy hits it. The reflective material used in radiant barrier sheathing stops up to 97% of the heat from getting into your attic.
How does this help you, the homeowner? You can see up to 17% decrease in energy consumption since your HVAC system can work more efficiently with lower attic temperatures.
That’s great for those hot Carolina summers but what about the rest of the year? In milder seasons the air temperatures might be milder but solar energy still heats up your roof, attic air and ceilings that can make it uncomfortable. An attic radiant barrier stops almost all of this heat transfer so you can stay comfortable with running your AC during milder weather.
Radiant barrier roof sheathing is installed on all of our homes and is part of the Lennar Difference to provide you the best quality home in the Carolinas.
