FHA loan limits increase providing homebuyers with more purchasing power

With the holidays just around the corner, households are considering what their needs are for the upcoming new year. The FHA has officially increased their loan limit for 2023, allowing these dreams to feel closer to reality.

“The FHA’s increase in loan limits comes at a great time when prospective homebuyers are considering what they can afford in the new year,” said Susan Wilke, Vice President of Marketing for Lennar Central Valley. “And with so many incredible options for sale by Lennar throughout the Central Valley, we’re confident that many home shoppers will benefit from this change.”

FHA loan lending limits are designed for eligible borrowers who are unable to make a large down payment. In the Central Valley region, the limit will increase from $420,680 to $472,030 in Fresno, Kings, Madera, Tulare and Kern Counties starting January 1, 2023. With a minimum 3.5 percent down payment, homebuyers can purchase up to $489,150 using the FHA loan.*
