At the end of each year, Lennar replaces the usual corporate holiday parties with a Focused Acts of Caring kickoff for the coming year. Their efforts go beyond financial support to dedicating time and energy to help these non-profits achieve their goals.

November marked Gratitude Month for Lennar in Columbia, SC. This past month was a special opportunity for Lennar to give back to the community and show its gratitude for being a part of it. On November 21st, Lennar Associates in the Columbia, SC area participated in a donation to local charity, Harvest Hope, and national charity, Toys for Tots.

“We are very grateful for our neighbors in the Columbia community,” said Mark Henninger, Division President “Giving back to the communities we help shape is an integral part of Lennar’s culture, especially during the holidays, when it matters most.”

Over 350 pounds of food was donated by the Lennar Columbia team to the Harvest Hope food bank. That amount of food provides 1,400 individual meals to those in need that were not available before. Harvest Hope is South Carolina’s largest food bank, providing over 20 million meals on average to neighbors in need across the Midlands, Pee Dee and Upstate regions.

Lennar Columbia also hosted a toy drive for the national charity Toys for Tots. 30 toys and over 35 books were donated for children in need. Donations were supplied by Lennar Associates, local community partners and neighbors in the area.

In 2023, Lennar hopes to double contributions to these charities by accepting donations throughout the year across the Columbia, SC area starting in February 2023. If you are interested in giving back, please contact 803-392-6104.
