Three Fun Ways to Celebrate Fall

Welcome Fall with a Fun Fiesta

We love celebrations in South Florida—just about anything is a good excuse for a fiesta, and we know how to do them right! So yes, read on for tips on how to throw a sizzling fall party at your beautiful Lennar Home. With fair skies and balmy breezes, this is a beloved season in our area…even if trees aren’t changing color and the nip in the air is courtesy of a compressor!

First, of course, the important matter of throwing a party! Lennar communities, many of which are lakefront and offer resort-style amenities, are perfect backdrops for this type of celebration. Consider, for example, Landmark in the trendy residential area of Doral. This modern community of condos, as well as two-story townhomes, features a sumptuous clubhouse and rooftop lounge.

Under the stars and overlooking the pool, the rooftop lounge is a magical place to host a party. Give it a Mexican “Dias De Los Muertos” theme and pack coolers with jugs of margaritas, to accompany tostadas, gorditas, guacamole, and salsa. Add a couple of mariachis and this fiesta will be one your guests won’t soon forget!

Another beautiful venue for a fall party is lakeside at Satori, a luxurious, zen-inspired community of townhomes and estate homes in Miami Lakes. Built off a stunning 67-acre lake, the floating dock adjacent to the pool is a charming venue for an intimate get-together. Toast the fall with a glass of champagne or sparkling apple cider and your drinks will match the glittering moonlit waters surrounding the dock.

If your group is on the large side, consider hosting your event at the Satori Clubhouse social party room, a wonderful, waterfront space. Most Lennar communities have clubhouses with party rooms and, in some cases, grand ballrooms for truly lavish celebrations. And regardless of which Lennar community you select, your home, with open-concept designs and thoughtful finishes, lends itself for entertaining in style.

Craft up Fall Decor

Another exciting way to celebrate fall involves tweaking your décor to reflect the season. Traditional fall colors include earth tones, burnished orange, and muted yellow, a warm palette that can be incorporated in your interior with simple touches. New accent pillows for your couch and chairs, a cozy throw, a few small accent rugs, and a dried flower arrangement will bring that harvest feeling into your home.

Continue the fall theme outside with an attractive wreath for your door and perhaps a new welcome mat. Decorating the outside of your home is a good way to get to know your neighbors. For example, Campo Bello’s innovative twin homes in which residents share a single conjoined wall, lend themselves to co-creating cool displays. With the family next door, you could decorate the area between your front doors, setting up, for example, a pumpkin patch and scarecrow.

Fall Outdoor Outings

A third fun way to celebrate fall is by taking the family on an outing, preferably to discover something new. Visiting a farm, such as Knaus Berry Farm in the Redlands, is a great way to capture the spirit of the season. At Knaus Berry you can pick your own fruit, including strawberries and tomatoes, or enjoy some of their delicious baked goods. They also sell their own honey, jams, and preserves which you can generously stock up on.

Residents of Magnolia Trails, Lennar’s lakefront townhome community in Davie, may wish to explore one of the area’s ranches and give horse back riding a try. With the rainy season behind us, fall is the ideal time to explore new outdoor activities and—like visiting a farm—horse back riding has that rustic, earthy appeal that says fall!

However you celebrate the season—throwing a party, doing a little redecorating, embarking on an adventure, or all of the above—we wish you and your family a great time! Happy Fall!
