Fun Activities for Hosting Easter at Home

This year, Easter is on April 17th. If you don’t have any plans to go out, or if you prefer to spend the holiday at home, there are plenty of activities to make Easter more fun for everyone – especially kids!

Searching for a family home in Miami with space to host? Check out The Riviera. This delightful lakeside haven of spacious, modern and well-equipped homes is the new community of choice in Homestead offering two distinctive townhome collections. Pine Vista is another great option. This luxurious, private community also located in Homestead is an oasis inspired by Florida’s vacation lifestyle, with new townhome and single-family options.

Ready to make Easter super sweet? Here are a few ideas:

Read Easter Books

Reading is always a great way to get kids into the holiday spirit. Whether it’s something light and simple about the Easter bunny or something more spiritual about the holiday itself, there are plenty of books available that the whole family can read together.

Create With Play-Doh

Kids love Play-Doh, so grab some in pastel Easter colors and help your kids make eggs, nests, bunnies, chicks and other things related to the holiday. Set a one-hour timer and let them unleash their creativity. You’ll be amazed at what they come up with!

Decorate Easter Eggs

This is an all-time favorite! Grab an egg-dyeing kit, cover your table, boil enough eggs and get creative. If you can’t get to the store for an egg-dyeing kit, try food coloring mixed with vinegar and hot water – and don’t forget the wax crayons and stickers!

Easter-Themed Bingo

Bingo is an easy game that everyone can play. You can find Easter bingo cards online and print them at home, then use jelly beans and other sweets to mark the squares as you go. Don’t forget to have some good Easter-themed prizes for the winners!

Egg & Spoon Races

Get the whole family moving and playing with this old-fashioned outdoor game. All you need are eggs (hard-boiled creates less mess) and metal or wooden spoons for each player. If you have a large group, set up relay teams to make it even more interesting.

Chocolate Fondue

Turn your kids’ Easter candy into something everyone can share by melting some of their chocolate into fondue. Then, dip those marshmallow chicks into a bubbling bowl of warm chocolate. As a bonus, it’s also a great way to get your kids to eat some fruit
