- Gather Supplies (and friends)
There is nothing worse than building up the motivation to start your moving journey and realizing you don’t have boxes, tape, bubble wrap or people to help. The key to any project is making sure you are prepared. Stop by your local store and get more supplies than you think you will need. Call friends and family to see if they will be able to help move furniture… the more the merrier when it comes to moving.
2. Clear the Clutter
Moving is the perfect opportunity to finally get rid of the old band T-shirt you’ve had in your closet since the 1990s or the clothes you keep around ‘just in case.’ Going through all of your things will not only make moving that much easier, but if the items are worth donating, you may be able to help someone in need. Clearing the clutter is the perfect way to make a fresh start in your brand-new Lennar home.
3. Set Up Utilities
This may go without saying, but make sure your utilities such as your electricity, water and air conditioning are turned on prior to move-in day. Eliminating one thing from your moving to-do list prior to the day of will make all the difference.
