Style Forecasting for 2025: Our Top 5 Interior Design Predictions

With a new year comes new beginnings, new plans, organizational goals and often times redecorating our spaces. Capitalizing on the fresh start of a brand-new year, we asked our design team for their top five interior design trend predictions for this year.

Start 2025 off on the right foot by including some of this year’s biggest design trends in your own home. Keep reading to see what our top 5 predictions are and how we have already incorporated them into some of our recent designs.

1. Earthy Tones

We love a neutral color scheme just as much as anyone, but this year we’re looking for new ways to enhance and adapt a monochromatic look. Bring in more earthy tones, like browns, rust and moss to warm up your space and highlight the more natural elements. These hues complement natural fibers and textures, like wood paneled walls, chunky woven blankets and linen drapery. Add an abundance of indoor plants and foliage into your home to enhance the earthy nature of this trend and bring your space to life.

2. Pattern Play

Patterns in the home are becoming more popular, and the great thing about this trend is that it can work well for any style or personal preference. If you’re wanting to liven up a room and bring more personality to a space, add in patterned textiles like pillows or a rug. Make a bigger impact by putting wallpaper up in a room, and then select coordinating accents to bring everything together. However you want to incorporate patterns in your home, choose ones that make you happy and match your personal style. Don’t be afraid to mix and match—if there’s an underlying color or theme between patterns it’s easy to design a space with multiple prints all together.

3. Western

We’ve seen a huge rise in western-wear fashion this past year, from cowboy boots to denim-on-denim, so it’s no surprise that this trend is forecasted for the interior design world in 2025. There are many ways you can incorporate this trend throughout your home, depending on your style. Bring in a fun western-inspired wallpaper featuring motifs like horses, guitars or desert foliage. Hang a few cowboy hats on a wall in the bedroom for decoration and select artwork that has a western focal point. Add in leather upholstered accent pieces, like ottomans and benches, for a slightly rugged finishing touch.

4. Coastal

Coastal-inspired interior design isn’t something new, but we’re loving the various interpretations that 2025 will feature. Choose a beachier route with calm shades of sea glass and sandy taupe, with surf-inspired details and motifs. Or opt for a classic nautical vibe by incorporating red, blue and white with rattan woven accents. However you decide to bring the coastal trend to your space, don’t go overboard (get it?) and resist the urge to go too theme-y with your décor.

5. Curves & Arches

Incorporating different shaped pieces of furniture and decor into your home is important for creating a stylish environment. This year you’ll notice a huge focus on curved and arched furnishings—everything from chairs and sofas, to light fixtures and artwork. This rounded shape works well in a variety of interior styles and can highlight both modern and traditional aesthetics.
