We are proud to announce that Lennar has won the Market Leader Energy Efficiency Award for 2016 presented by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to our Raleigh division. We received the award for our outstanding commitment to energy efficiency with dedication to building Energy Star® Certified Homes throughout 2015. Lennar Raleigh’s contribution equates to the reduction of CO2 emissions by 1,245 metric tons.
Lennar Raleigh: Market Leader in Energy Efficiency
- In 2015, Lennar Raleigh contributed 736 Energy Star® certified homes to the area.
- The contribution of 736 Energy Star® certified homes to the Raleigh/Durham area is equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions by 1,245 metric tons.
- Reducing CO2 emissions by 1,245 metric tons is equivalent to growing 31,648 tree seedlings for 10 years.
- Growing 31,648 tree seedlings for 10 years is equivalent to avoiding the consumption of 2,896 barrels of oil.
- Avoiding the consumption of 2,896 barrels of oil is equivalent to removing 262 passenger vehicles from the road.
