Black Diamond, Wash. – October 2018 – Lennar Seattle builds new home communities in some of the most desirable, popular and up-and-coming areas in the Puget Sound. This month, they’ve chosen to spotlight Black Diamond, a beautiful place full of rich history, beautiful nature and exciting outdoor activities.
“Black Diamond is an area that’s rich with incredible history, but is also developing into a popular and great place for families to live,” said Bill Salvesen, Division President of Lennar Seattle. “We’re excited to offer new homes at the one-of-a-kind Ten Trails masterplan and also share with home shoppers some staples the city of Black Diamond has to offer.”
Black Diamond has a deep history as an old coal mining town. The Black Diamond museum is dedicated to sharing stories and artifacts of this past. While coal mining has not been an active industry in the area for years, the museum pays homage to the lifestyle of the settlers of the area. Another lso, a history staple is the Black Diamond Bakery. Established in 1902, its delicious foods, drinks and charm make it a destination stop for travelers across the region and locals alike.
Black Diamond is also home to beautiful, preserved outdoor space. Just two miles outside of Black Diamond is Flaming Geyser State Park, with trails for hiking and walking, river rafting and two active geysers. Black Diamond Natural Area hosts its own series of trails among local flora and fauna and the Lake Wilderness Arboretum has hiking, a lake and picnic areas with a playground.
The town also hosts plenty of annual festivities and events to help bring the community together. During the summer is the Miners Day Festival, which pays tribute to the area’s history with a celebratory event. Friday Farmer’s Markets during the summer are a wonderful way to spend time outdoors. And just last month the city held the annual “Tough Mudder” fun run. The two-day event was centered around extreme physical exertion in the form of team building and obstacles right in the heart of Black Diamond.
Lennar is thrilled to now be selling new homes at two Ten Trails collections: Cottages and East Village. For more information on these new home communities, visit www.lennar.com/seattle.
