Boys and Girls – Pathway to Success Partnership

As part of Lennar Orlando’s commitment to support the community as well as the health and well-being of children throughout the area, we have partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida to support their Pathway to Success program.  Pathway to Success prepares members of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida for success in college and career through hands-on exploration and preparation.

The Pathway to Success program places great value on offering children access to “real-world” career experiences and to hear stories of employees on what made them choose their career route and the matters that led up to it. This program creates partnerships with community-focused corporations to help young people prepare for their college and career paths through a variety of creative career experiences such as club visits and shadowing. Kids are provided a window into the world of work and can use current employee knowledge to their benefit in starting a new chapter in their life.

Lennar Orlando kicked off their partnership in 2014.  We have completed various community initiatives, from packing lunches to hosting field day events.  Most recently, we participated in our first Pathway to Success program visit back in February of 2018. Leadership from the Lennar employees, their shared real-world experience, and insight with the group was a victory with a lot of turnout.  The kids had a chance to learn more about the homebuilding experience and what it takes to make a team come together to complete a goal.  We plan to continue our partnership with another visit this upcoming Tuesday, June 26th 2018.

We have been inspired by the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida for many years, having partnered on various projects and events. We are delighted to offer our ongoing support of their mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
