Lennar is building its first Tampa Bay area active-adult homes in the new Medley at SouthShore Bay community in Wimauma. SouthShore Bay is the second community in the Tampa Bay area to have a Crystal Lagoon, a 6-acre aquatic amenity where residents can swim, kayak and even use a small sailboat.

Lennar’s Medley at SouthShore Bay will have single-family homes that will open for sale in January and villas will begin selling in March.

New floorplans complement the empty-nester and retiree lifestyle

The floorplans in Medley at SouthShore Bay are designed with “aging in place” in mind. Each home has an open layout and outdoor patio space, and the master bathroom includes spacious, open-entry showers with built-in benches for comfort and convenience.

Lennar’s single-family homes in the community range from the 1,683-square-foot “Morningtide” with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a two-car garage, to the 2,775-square-foot “Daybreak” with three bedrooms, 3 ½ bathrooms and a three-car garage.

The villas in the community are one- or two-story, two-bedroom homes with a one-car garage and flex space or a loft. Select villas will be furnished as part of Lennar’s “Stay and Play” option, where prospective residents can experience the community and stay for a few days before purchasing a home.

The community will have eight model homes for prospective residents to see a variety of floorplans, featuring both the single-family homes and villas.

The homes also include ULTRAFi, which will provide internet speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second, where residents can use multiple devices at once and it will not slow down the internet speed.

SouthShore Bay offers residents resort-style living with a Crystal Lagoon

The Crystal Lagoon in SouthShore Bay is the second Lagoon under construction in the Tampa Bay area – the other Lagoon is in Epperson in Pasco County, where Lennar is also building single-family homes.

The Lagoon will be walking distance from the homes in Medley at SouthShore Bay, and will have a family beach, tide pool and cabana area.

The Crystal Lagoon concept began in Chile and is now gaining popularity around the world. The technology uses remote monitoring to constantly keep the water clean and clear, using fewer chemicals than a backyard pool.

Additionally, SouthShore Bay is a gated community with a dog park, walking trails, golf cart paths, shaded tot lot and zen garden, conveniently located near Interstate 75 south of Tampa.
