Hakeem Brown-Glaze and his wife came into their housing search looking for a four-bedroom home under a certain price point that would be perfect for their growing family. Lennar Jacksonville New Home Consultant, Felix Castillo, showed the family various styles in Mill Creek at Kendall Town, a new community by Lennar Homes that he saw fit for the family’s needs.
Mrs. Brown-Glaze immediately fell in love with the Brio style home featured in the community’s model home, but because the model was slightly more than they thought their budget would allow, she was willing to go for a home that seemingly fit better into their price range.
Little did she know that her husband was determined to find a way to give his wife the perfect home she deserved. Mr. Brown-Glaze contacted Castillo and together, they re-worked the numbers and found a way to make payments for the Brio home comparable to the home she expected was theirs.
“Throughout our entire home buying process we knew that Lennar was committed to making our dream home a reality,” said Mr. Brown-Glaze. “Whether it was showing us additional models, providing more information about the “Everything’s Included” concept or assisting us in making the best financial decision, we knew we were in good hands.”
Before they revealed the big surprise, Castillo wanted to make sure that Mrs. Brown-Glaze was completely satisfied with the Brio home. He asked if she would give an opinion on a home that his friend was purchasing because he wasn’t sure if his friend’s wife would like it.
“Who wouldn’t love this home? It’s beautiful!” Mrs. Brown-Glaze said.
She loved everything about the home, from the color of the cabinets, to the view from the master suite. With a little sadness in her voice, she then asked to see the home that she thought her family had purchased.
When they walked out of the house, Mr. Brown-Glaze kicked the available sign out of the ground and replaced it with a sold sign. He proudly told his shocked and overjoyed wife that they would be living in the home of her dreams.
