The Botanical Gardens

Grab a book and some snacks to camp out in one of the most beautiful attractions in Austin. Who doesn’t need a little shade in the heat of the great state of Texas? The Botanical Gardens is a 26 acre oasis in the middle of a big city. It is open from 7 AM to 7 PM everyday.

South Congress

South Congress or “SoCo” is home to many of the best restaurants in the city. Whether you want a Bloody Mary and brunch or to window shop local stores, this is the place to be on the weekend. Don’t miss the market days even where local crafters and retailers come together once a week!

Hamilton Pool

 

Hamilton Pool is located about 30 miles West of Austin. It is one of the best swimming holes in Texas – and a great place to picnic, swim, and spend some time on a hot Texas summer day. The 45-foot water fall is not to be missed!

Round Rock Express

The Round Rock Express is a minor league baseball team and an event you do not want to miss this summer! With fireworks, hot dogs and baseball how can you go wrong?

Zilker Park

Zilker Park is 351 acres and hosts many of the best attractions and events in Austin. Between Lady Bird Lake, Barton Springs Pool, Austin City Limits, and Blues on the Green, this staycation activity has endless opportunity!
