A home of your own can mean more freedom and not having to be so conscious about the small things, such as worrying about the volume of the television or the noise level of your guests.

I rent a townhome which has many dog owners who allow their dogs to walk all the way up to my living room window and use the bathroom in my hedge bushes and then the dog owners do not clean it up. Also, I love to lay out in my bathing suit in the privacy of my own backyard but I don't have that privacy in my rented townhome. I would also love to have a gated backyard so that I can have a dog as well as be able to allow my cats to go outside. In my rented townhome cats aren't allowed outside even though dogs are as long as they are on a leash. Only some of the residents adhere to the rules. Another problem with renting an apartment or townhome.
