In a groundbreaking move, Lennar and the innovative 3D technology company ICON, built the world’s largest 3D-printed home community in Georgetown, TX. Wolf Ranch is a master-planned community boasting 100 stunning homes, with more than 80% of these futuristic abodes having already found their new owners.
These homes are not just a marvel of modern technology but also a beacon of sustainability and practicality. Each one is equipped with solar power, rounded concrete walls that add a touch of elegance and sturdy metal roofs that stand the test of time. But the real magic lies in their energy efficiency, durability and affordability. Starting at just below $400,000, these homes offer incredible value and that’s hard to resist.
The project kicked off in 2022 and accelerated from just two printers to an impressive eleven, enabling Icon to print wall systems for homes at an incredible pace. This not only slashed build times, but also reduced the need for labor, making the entire process more efficient and cost-effective.

And the best is yet to come! A second, larger 3D-printed community of 200 homes in Texas is on its way. This new community is expected to be even faster and cheaper to build, further solidifying the future of 3D-printed homes in the mainstream market. What’s more, all the materials used, including the concrete, are sourced right here in the U.S. This local approach supports American industries and ensures a more stable and reliable supply chain.
The future of homebuilding is here, and it’s looking brighter than ever. Check out this CNBC feature for more on Wolf Ranch and stay tuned for further updates on this revolutionary partnership.
