Get Fresh with Farmers Markets’ Bounty of Healthful Eats throughout DFW

These are the salad days for fresh, healthy eatin’ in North Texas. Not only that, it would take less time to drive from any of Lennar’s 80-plus Metroplex communities to a nearby farmers market than it would to create a meal from so many available summer-harvest delights.

While Texas is legendary for cattle and cotton, with more farms and ranches than any other state in the nation, DFW is home to more than 40 farmers’ markets blooming with everything from beets to blackberries, tomatoes to turnips, garlic to greens, baked goods to canned goods, roasted coffee, gourmet items, desserts and, yes, beef and wearables.

Consider, for instance, Storm Farm. The kids can pick their own strawberries, while you peruse the market for melons, salsa, honey and flowers, among just a few of so many choices. The market lies a quick 12 miles from Lennar’s Southwind Meadows community, with new homes for sale in Arlington, TX.

Many of these markets are even closer to Lennar communities. Frisco Springs Royals, with new homes for sale in Frisco, TX, sits just 2.4 miles from the Frisco Rotary Farmers Market.

Just like Lennar’s homes, with Everything’s Included®, the market, as with most others, offers a large and tasty array of standard features: pastured meats, free-range eggs, olive oil and more. The Frisco outlet also includes live music, breakfast tacos and fresh-brewed coffee, with proceeds benefiting community projects throughout highly desirable Frisco.

Of course, you’d expect farm-fresh goodness closer to the source, so it’s little surprise that healthy-eating outlets are even more conspicuous the farther you get from the big city. Still, one market that’s 50 miles from downtown Dallas is also just 4 miles from Avery Pointe Watermill, Lennar’s community with new homes for sale in Anna, TX.

Lola’s Local Farmers Market, which takes place the second Sunday of the month, boasts cheesecakes, tortillas, fried pies, preserves, and BBQ rubs. Oh, and Lola’s bills itself as a “rock ‘n’ roll market,” with live bands and a saloon. (Try to find offerings like that on Aisle 3 of your local grocer!)

New homes for sale in Lennar’s Westhaven community in Coppell, TX, as well as Lennar’s Winding Creek community in Southlake, TX, and the Bradford Park homes in Flower Mound, TX, all happen to be within 10 miles of a few markets.

One of them, the Coppell Farmers Market, provides a similar crop of fresh bounty, along with a booth available to Coppell-based nonprofit, young entrepreneurs and student groups to sell their products and harvest some experience.

These are just a sampling of markets to feed your need for freshness and good health. To learn more about how convenient they are to Lennar’s communities throughout the Metroplex, call Lennar’s Dallas-Fort Worth Internet New Home Sales Consultants at (866) 314-4477.
