“Paws” to Adopt a Pet On National Pet Day—and Give Them (and You!) a New Home

Buddy and Bella, Fifi and Fido, Whiskers and Winston—yes, from Ace to Zippy, our pets have as many names as we have ways to love them, pamper them, give them homes. They give back, too: turns out, owning a dog lessens the risk of death by heart disease by 36%.

That’s according to info from National Pet Day. Every April 11, we celebrate our furry—and sometimes not so furry–friends. (Who knew tarantulas ranked No. 10 in pet ownership, winning the hearts of 1%? Spot takes the top spot at 45%. Sorry, KeeKee, you’re at 30%.)

Anyway, springtime, which also happens to be the best time to purchase a new home in Dallas-Fort Worth, is also an ideal time to adopt a puppy or kitten—or snake (ranked seventh, with 2% of pet owners).

Oh, the website also points out that “residential restrictions” force 30% of people who have pets to part with them—think rental properties. All the more reason to purchase a new Lennar home in the Metroplex, where more than 70 communities are all just minutes away from pet adoption centers, veterinarians, pet stores, dog parks and every other pet need.

For instance, Lennar’s Bradford Park community, with new homes for sale in Flower Mound, TX, is minutes from Operation Kindness for adoptions, pet-food pantry and more.

Bradford Park’s eight floorplans offer something for every human, too, including Lennar’s signature open-concept designs for running around (no “playing catch” in the living room!). The island kitchen, with GE® stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen and owner’s bath, might not be the place for Spritzie’s spritz, but you get the idea.

In other words, Everything’s Included®. That’s Lennar’s signature suite of high-end standards other homebuilders consider add-ons and then pass those costs on to you.

Speaking of included features, Aspen Meadows, Lennar’s community of new homes for sale in Aubrey, TX, also offers The Connected Home by Lennar™. (The robust smart-home package is also standard in Bradford Park’s new homes.) Likewise, Aspen Meadows’ five designs include granite and quartz kitchen countertops and GE® stainless steel appliances.

Plus, the two Lennar communities lie virtually around the corner from recreation meccas that even offer horseback riding. (Trigger rides at No. 6 on National Pet Day’s favorites list.)

Dogs and horses (especially) love wide-open spaces, and that’s what you get with Trinity Crossing’s new homes for sale in Forney, TX. The Lennar community offers seven value-rich designs in a small town with the old-fashioned feel of rural Texas. Trinity Crossing lies just 19 miles from East Lake Pet Orphanage, to adopt your new pet for your new home.
