Village Builders was honored to have the opportunity of sponsoring the Woodtrace Wilderness Kids Triathlon. The race took place on Sunday, August 15th. Nearly 200 kids participated in this year’s race. The weekend was graced with lovely weather and tons of smiles all around. Proceeds from this year will benefit the Woodtrace Foundation, which were donated to Decker Prairie Elementary School.
Everyone who participated received a race t-shirt and goodie bag, plus a finisher medal. This race was hosted in the beautiful master-planned community of Woodtrace. The swim race took place in the Woodtrace Recreation Center pool, the bike ride around the neighborhood, and the run was on the trails around Lake Woodtrace.
The gated community of Woodtrace is located in Tomball ISD and offers an amazing amenity package. There is a recreation center with a pool, a clubhouse, and five miles of wooded greenbelt trails. The most stunning feature of this wooded neighborhood is the 23-acre Lake Woodtrace. Located next to the recreation center in the heart of the community, Lake Woodtrace is a real spring-fed lake that houses a canoe/kayak launch and fishing dock. The community also includes a Central Park, with a natural creek, footbridges, and trails.
