Lennar announces “elemen-tree” planting initiative with Charlotte-area schools

As students return from summer break, Lennar, the nation’s only A+ home builder according to Builder Magazine, announces a tree planting initiative with six elementary schools across Mecklenburg, York, Iredell, Gaston and Union counties to help serve its communities.

Beginning Sept. 14 through the end of the month, the company will donate $100 per home sold toward planting trees on elementary campuses located in close proximity to one of Lennar’s 16 area communities.

“Tree planting has so many benefits for the environment and the Elemen-Tree program is going to go even beyond that,” shares Lennar Charlotte Division President Jon Hardy. “For students, this is going to allow them to take ownership of their surroundings, learn about nature and beautify their campuses.”

Schools and Lennar communities participating in the tree planting initiative include:

Mecklenburg County: Palisades Park Elementary (Southern Trace)

York County: Doby’s Bridge Elementary (Waterside at the Catawba)

Iredell County: Woodland Heights Elementary (The Farms)

Gaston County: Page Primary School (Stowe Pointe); W.A. Bess Elementary (Kinmere Farms)

Union County: Waxhaw Elementary (Lawson Traditions)
