The Coves at Lakes of Cane Bay

Enjoying the tranquility of The Coves

Hidden Coves

A lone figure atop a paddle board recently glided across Lowcountry waters on a recent late-May evening. As shadows lengthened, a heron took flight over a wall of sun-drenched trees on the horizon and a slight breeze stirred the evening air.

“You see what I mean, then” Lennar New Home Consultant Yvette Grist asked, “about the tranquility?”

Grist is currently stationed at Cane Bay Plantation, the acclaimed Berkeley County development located off U.S. Highway 176 in Summerville. In particular, Grist is tasked with launching Lennar’s portion of The Coves at Lakes of Cane Bay, a 40-home effort that will feature some of the homebuilder’s finest Lowcountry product to date.

Lennar is now selling a quartet of brand-new floor plans in The Coves. HardiPlank® siding, 7-foot wide porches and breathtaking lakefront properties are all on offer. The homes range from 3 to 5 bedrooms and from 1,804 to 2,849 square feet. Prices begin in the mid-$200s.

“We want buyers to recognize Lennar for the high level of quality that we deliver in all of our new homes, from the very best construction practices to elegant finishes,” said Jason Byham, Lennar Coastal Carolinas Division President. “The Coves is a tremendous showcase for that.”

So close, yet feels so far
Minutes after Grist was extolling the virtues of the Coves’ 300-acre-plus lake system, she was tucked into a booth at Famulari’s Pizzeria waiting for a delicious-looking slice of pepperoni and olive to cool. The pizza shop is situated in a vibrant retail center, set just inside the Cane Bay gates. The center is anchored by Publix, and includes a Roper St. Francis primary care office, a veterinarian and multiple other restaurants among its tenants.

“The convenience is just fantastic,” Grist said. “To go from such a serene setting to the grocery store or the doctor in just a couple of minutes is so nice for families.”

Also nice for families at The Coves: once they turn off the highway into Cane Bay Plantation, they’ll not only pass retail options, but a trio of award-winnings schools and the 68-acre site of a future YMCA.

“It’s the whole package here,” Grist said.

The package will also soon include an 8-mile blueway – perfect for kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding – and a resort-style amenities center. All of this just 10 minutes from downtown Summerville, 15 minutes from Charleston International Airport and 3o minutes from Historic Charleston.

And of course …
Buyers at the Coves at Lakes of Cane Bay will also benefit from Lennar’s signature Everything’s Included℠ program, which offers desirable luxury features in each home’s base price. Where other builders charge tens of thousands of extra dollars for “upgrades” such as stainless steel appliance packages including a refrigerator, hardwoods and granite countertops, Lennar includes them at no additional cost.

And all that comes from the only company to receive an A+ rating on Big Builder Magazine’s 2015 public builder report card. The grades, handed out by the magazine’s editors, are a research-based analysis of financial and operational performance across a broad range of criteria.

“Lennar has never been stronger nationally, and the same holds true here in the Lowcountry,” Byham said. “The Coves is an excellent of example of where we want to go in the future.”
