Spring Décor Tips

There’s something about the springtime that inspires a refresh in our home. Here are five ways to prepare your home for this spring.

  1. Whimsical blooms – Bring spring inside your home with wildflowers fresh from the garden or beautiful blooms from the farmer’s market. Fresh flowers will add a vibrancy to your kitchen table ’s centerpiece, the mantle in your living room or your bedside table.
  2. Light Reflecting Statements – Now that our clocks have officially “sprung forward,” we’re finally back to longer days and more sunshine. Utilize light reflecting pieces such as mirrors, chandeliers and glass vases to subtly play with springtime light.
  3. Switch Out Your Candles – To harness that airy springtime scent, retire the warm vanilla, gingerbread, and buttercream scents of winter, and trade them in for the intoxicating aroma of jasmine, wisteria, and waterlily candles.
  4. Lighten Your Linens – As cozy as the wool knit throw blankets and flannel sheets are, it’s time to lighten up. Swap your chunky knits for featherweight throws.
  5. Introduce Indoor Plants – A few indoor plants will add color, a touch of nature and even increase oxygen levels. This season’s trendiest indoor plants include fiddle leaf figs, devil’s ivy, and cactuses.

As Leo Tolstoy said, “spring is the time for plans and projects.” So, roll up your sleeves and help your home follow nature’s course and bloom this spring. For more interior design tips, make sure to like us on Facebook.
