Tampa Events to Stretch Out Your Summer

Tampa Bay has a lot to offer, and one of those things is making summer last all year long. Whether you’ve worked through the season or had the time to rest and recharge, there’s no better way to make the most of your free time and get to know Tampa than checking out some of these events.

August 1 – Fresh Market at Wiregrass. On the first and third Saturdays of each month, be sure to swing by the Fresh Market to pick up all of your local food and crafts from over 80 different vendors! If you stick around, you’ll hear some fantastic live music.

August 2-4 – Tampa Bay Comic Con. Come see some of the biggest names in Hollywood and see what’s going on in the world of comics at the biggest comic book convention in Florida! This event is going on Friday through Sunday, so you’ll have ample opportunity to geek out all weekend.

August 3 – Back to School Bash & Roller Skate Party. Come join House of Woodbury Arts alongside some of Tampa Bay’s best organizations at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park for the ultimate back to school party! This event will feature giveaways, prizes, outdoor skating, live music and more.

August 10 (AM) – Summer Extravaganza. Featuring live music, games, prizes, a bounce house, and slide along with great food, entertainment, and classic cars, this free event starts in the morning and goes until 2:00 PM. The earlier you get there, the more fun there is to have!

August 10 (PM) – August Pool Party. The New Port Richey Recreation & Aquatic Center is giving the community a chance to soak up the last rays of the summer sun and cool off at this event! Enjoy an evening swim with games and music to celebrate the end of summer vacation.

August 15 – 3rd Thursday. Every month on the third Thursday, the Pour House Tampa puts on a gourmet food truck event featuring live music and cocktails. The event is free to attend, and your dog is welcome to tag along too.
