Be home for the holidays at Tehaleh

Bonney Lake, Wash. – November 2016 – Tehaleh is a community that offers a great family-friendly lifestyle, especially during the holiday season! Every year they host a series of events meant to inspire the meaning of the season: giving back. Residents may take part in any of these events to get to know their neighbors and embrace the holiday spirit. From food banks to turkey trots, holiday light competitions and more, residents are encouraged to invite friends and family out to the community to enjoy the holiday events.

“Tehaleh is such a fantastic community, we’re thrilled to be a part of it,” said Bill Salvesen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “These holiday events are a prime example of the kind of lifestyle Tehaleh offers year-round, one filled with family-oriented events that promote a real sense of community among its residents.”

Each November, Tehaleh collects hundreds of pounds of non-perishable goods as well as blankets and warm socks to donate to a local charity that provides crucial items to those in need. Once residents finish the Turkey, the entire community is invited down to The Post, the residents-only community center, for the annual Turkey Trot through the community the day after Thanksgiving.

For the month of December, the community begins to glow with holiday spirit! Tehaleh’s annual neighborhood holiday light competition gets all the neighbors feeling festive. With the spirit of giving in mind, they organize a giving tree down at The Post to ensure more than 200 children from the neighboring schools have a happy holiday. The Post also hosts a visit from Santa, who visits children throughout the community and allows them to send a wish list to the North Pole. Sometimes, the kids even get a response back.

“Thank you to anyone at The Post involved in writing letters to the kids from Santa, my kids are over the moon with excitement,” one resident said. “You really helped make their season even more magical.”

Tehaleh is known for hosting gatherings and taking every opportunity to get residents together for an event, especially during football season, which is a big deal in the community. Many residents gather with their neighbors at The Post to watch the Seahawks or their favorite college game.
