1000 Avenue at Port Imperial has proven to be a New York City area residence worth the wait – just ask Jim and Janice Harrington. For years, The Rutgers University engineering professor and his wife had been entertaining the idea of purchasing a second home in the city, but nothing seemed to be a reasonable fit before the 1000 Avenue community came along.
The Harringtons couldn’t turn down the value or the opportunity to own their three-bedroom, three-bathroom home with convenient access to the Hudson River Waterfront ferry, a stunning view of the city skyline, and upscale designer finishes at a reasonable price. The couple now has a place to relax on weekends with easy access to the city, and the option to move in full time should they should ever want to downsize from their suburban residence.
The Harringtons also enjoy the numerous building amenities included with their new home. “I especially like the health club and the sauna area,” Dr. Harrington said. “It has all of the best new equipment. The third floor outdoor landscaped deck is a nice place to spend time, too. We’re hoping the July 4th fireworks return to the Hudson River this year because that would be the perfect place to watch them from.”
