Huntersville, NC, is the largest town in the Lake Norman area and home to three Lennar Charlotte communities and has an excess of things to with family and friends. As the first town founded in the Lake Norman area, Huntersville, originally named Craighead, got its name in 1873 after landowner and cotton farmer Robert Boston Hunter. The town started as a destination for growing cotton, bit prominent schools drew people from near and far.

Huntersville continued to expand as textile mills brought more jobs and residents to the area and has now grown into a great place to raise a family:

Discovery Place Kids: Volcanos, Moving to Mars, physics, water play a town market and more to conjure curiosity and activate the imagination of kids of all ages. Kids can be creative and explore a world of wonder and get hands-on experience with interactive exhibits. Dance with the music of a live show or watch in amazement as magicians pull rabbits from everywhere.

With eleven other outbuildings, fields, farm animals and gardens, you travel back in time to see how life was lived in the 1800s. Spooky ghost stories and a tour during Halloween are personal favorites.
