ULTRAFi provides super-fast internet in three of Lennar’s Tampa Bay communities

The average household has 13 internet-connected devices, according to research firm IHS Markit. From work to social media to movie streaming and even Wi-Fi connected baby monitors, it has become increasingly important to have a fast and reliable internet connection.

With ULTRAFi technology, which is available in three Lennar communities in the Tampa Bay area, residents have access to some of the fastest internet speeds in the world, allowing them to have many devices connected at the same time without losing speed.

ULTRAFi, an exclusive technology provided in Metro Places’ communities, uses a fiber network to enable internet speeds of up to one gigabit per second. The technology is comparable to that of Google Fiber, which is available in a number of areas around the country but is not available in the Tampa Bay area.

Lennar builds homes in three Tampa Bay area communities that offer this technology: Union Park in Wesley Chapel, Sereno in Wimauma and Waterleaf in Riverview. Here are a few ways this technology can enhance your life at home:

Working from home

Whether you run a business from your home or you’re putting in time after hours to meet a deadline, working from home almost always requires a strong internet connection. With ULTRAFi, your work won’t be impacted by slow speeds, or by sharing the connection with another member of the household.

Video and music streaming

Many people now spend more time streaming movies and TV shows online than they do watching regular cable television. Music streaming services like Spotify have also begun to replace radio and CDs.

When you’re binge watching the new season of your favorite show on Netflix, the last thing you want to see is your video buffering. This problem can be made even worse when multiple members of the household stream video at the same time.

ULTRAFi allows everyone in your family to stream their favorite shows, movies, albums and YouTube videos without interruption.

Home automation

Technology has become so advanced that nearly every electronic device can be connected to the internet. For example, your home’s air conditioning system may be controlled by a smart thermostat that connects to your Wi-Fi. You may even use a home automation system that allows you to turn off the lights, lock doors and perform other functions through an app on your smart phone or tablet.

For these devices and systems to work properly, fast internet speeds, such as those provided by a gigabit fiber network, are essential.
