Ten Things I Hate About Townhomes

  1. That I don’t have to mow the lawn. I don’t know what to do with all my free time.
  2. That I park in my own garage–circling the block for a spot was half the fun.
  3. That the open layouts are so Now all my friends want to visit.
  4. That I never see my kids. They’re always playing at the community park.
  5. That the kitchen is so beautiful–I can’t stop admiring it.
  6. That townhomes are low maintenance. Now life feels too easy.
  7. That I live close to all the popular retailers. I always want a shopping spree.
  8. That I have energy-efficient features. What do I do with the money I save on utilities?
  9. That I spent so many years renting when owning a townhome costs the same.
  10. I hate how much I actually don’t hate any of this. Not even a little bit.

Own a Brand-New Townhome in Washington

Washington state is home to breathtaking landscapes, stunning national parks and is the backdrop to iconic 90s films like 10 Things I Hate About You. See why so many people are moving to the Evergreen State and buying brand-new Lennar townhomes.

Why More Buyers Are Falling for Townhomes

Today’s townhomes are one of the smartest housing choices for many prospective homeowners. For first-time buyers, townhomes offer an affordable entry point into homeownership without sacrificing style or functionality. Open layouts, flexible living spaces and attached garages provide many of the benefits of a single-family home at a more approachable price.

Busy professionals appreciate the lock-and-leave lifestyle. With little exterior maintenance and thoughtfully designed communities, it's easier to spend weekends traveling, exploring or simply enjoying life instead of tackling home projects.

Growing households often find that today's multi-story townhomes provide plenty of room for everyone, with multiple bedrooms, flexible bonus spaces and locations close to schools, parks and recreation.

Empty nesters are also discovering that downsizing doesn't have to mean downgrading. A newer townhome can offer modern finishes, less maintenance and the freedom to focus on experiences instead of upkeep.

The Benefits of New Construction Townhomes

While townhomes in general have their advantages, buying one that’s brand new comes with perks that are hard to ignore.

Homeowners can expect fewer unexpected repairs and more peace of mind with a new construction townhome. Modern building standards also deliver improved energy efficiency, contemporary floorplans and technology that older homes simply weren't designed to offer.

With Lennar's Everything's Included® program, many of the most sought-after features, such as upgraded finishes, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and smart home technology, are included in the home's base price without any added fees. Homeowners can enjoy a beautiful home from day one, with fewer surprises throughout the buying process.

It's Time to Rethink Townhomes

Whether you're buying your first home, simplifying your lifestyle or simply looking for a home that works smarter—not harder—a new townhome deserves a closer look.
