Great Diaper Drive

Between now and September 14th, Lennar Portland is once again partnering with With Love, Oregon, a non-profit organization, for a diaper drive to support foster families and help cover as many little baby bottoms as they can. With a deadline that is less than a month away, the Great Diaper Drive aims to collect 55,000 diapers – but they need your help! Join Lennar in supporting vulnerable children by delivering hope, dignity and love through clean, quality diapers. Gifts at any level will help provide vital supplies to deserving little ones in foster care – please consider donating today!

And this year with COVID protocols, we’re making it easier than ever to participate – we’re hosting an online diaper drive and accepting donations directly to With Love. Together we can make a difference. Please visit their website and give back today.

“Many times, foster parents will find out they are receiving a child only hours before they arrive, leaving them unprepared and overwhelmed. With Love strives to provide families with the essentials they’ll need, including clothes, car seats, toys and diapers, so they can focus on their little ones.” – With Love

With Love, recognizes the need to support Portland’s foster families and serves as a bridge between foster families and their communities. With Love helps foster families by providing safe, clean and quality clothing and supplies for children ages 0-6. By providing valuable resources to families in need, they hope to nurture dignity and hope throughout the community. Families can go through hundreds of diapers in just one week, with a typical baby using anywhere from 10 to 12 diapers a day and toddlers using about eight a day.

Lennar Portland has supported With Love, Oregon for the last few years by collecting diapers at our new home communities. Please consider donating and helping us reach our goals!

Touching testimonials:

“Fostering is hard. It is emotionally fatiguing and always a surprise. As foster parents, there is truly no way to prepare. You have a 2-year-old boy, then shortly after, a baby girl that barely weighs four pounds. With Love allows my family to say yes, knowing they will provide the items these children desperately need, so we are able to focus on helping the kids settle in our home.” – Foster Family

“We had nothing for our new placement of two sisters but had since learned about With Love. In three short days, a full van dropped off everything we needed. With us both working full time and getting two kids under two years old without notice or daycare, this van showed up with far more than stuff. It was a van full of love. I could spend bonding time with these girls.  A van full of the sense of relief that these kids had their necessities.  It was a van that filled their needs so we could spoil the girls with experiences and the fancy toys and items that the “kids with everything” had.” – Foster Family

“Dear With Love – we are filled with gratitude for all you’ve provided us in the first months we’ve had our foster baby! It was incredible to receive a car seat, stroller and so many diapers! The volunteers who helped at pick up were beyond helpful and so friendly. This organization and its sponsors are a blessing to the community!” – Foster Family
