As Austin Sets New Population Growth Records, Lennar Continues to Thrive

You’ve likely heard the phrase, “everything’s bigger in Texas,” which can apply to everything from cowboy hats, speed limits, and pick-up trucks, to the sheer magnitude of the Texas State Capitol building and the value of its flagship professional sports franchise, the Dallas Cowboys. Heck, one of the state’s cattle ranches, King Ranch, has more acreage than Rhode Island.

Consider that Texas has double the square miles of the 10 smallest states combined, meaning you could fit many East Coast states, with Hawaii included as a bonus, inside its borders. For an international perspective, the state is twice the size of Germany.

This popular expression also applies to the Lone Star state’s population growth. At 25.1 million people, Texas sits only behind California in population, but is continuously recognized as having the most rapid growth of any state in the U.S. Nowhere is that more evident than in Austin, the heartbeat of Texas and a destination known and admired for its purposeful pursuit of weird.

Global Research firm, JLL, recently anointed Austin as the 19th fastest growing city in the world, joined only by Silicon Valley. Similarly, the Urban Land Institute ranked Austin No. 1 in its 2020 Emerging Trends forecast for overall real estate prospects, commenting on its deep talent pool, unique and popular lifestyle and ambitious commitment to business and real estate expansion.

Austin’s population growth is certainly no flash in the pan. According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau, 2019 was the eighth consecutive year that the five-county Austin metropolitan area that includes Travis, Bastrop, Hays, Williamson and Caldwell counties was recognized as the fastest growing area in the country among metros with at least one million people. That means a lot of homes for sale in Austin. So many, in fact, that homebuyers are able to be incredibly selective in finding a builder they can trust, and one with a proven track record of success.

So how is Lennar standing apart from the competition to serve the approximately 105 people moving to Austin each day? By designing gorgeous new designs across Central Texas for homebuyers at all stages of life, whether first-time or move-up buyer, multigenerational family or active adult. Not only are the homes located in the Hill Country’s most desirable communities with fantastic amenities and school districts, they also reflect Lennar’s understanding of what features are of greatest importance to families and delivering them unlike any other builder – such as the Everything’s Included® initiative for connectivity, efficiency, luxury and simplicity, Next Gen – Home Within a Home multigenerational layouts and Legacy Series floor plans exclusively for 55+ homebuyers.

With every new day Austin gets a little bit bigger, yet Lennar stays true to its core values – quality, value and integrity – in customizing the homebuying experience for each individual family to hep find the home of their dreams.
