Summer in the City: Tips for Enjoying the Metroplex

Lennar Dallas - Ft. Worth summer tips

Nothing keeps Dallas down. Plenty of places are open—or reopening—while lots more spots are out there in the Metroplex just waiting for you to explore. You’re bound to find something virtually around the corner from all of Lennar’s DFW 80-some communities.

Here’s a list of five essential things to do and places to do ’em:

Cultural wonderlands:

Several public spaces dotting Dallas-Fort Worth may operate at 50% capacity, according to this website, which lists museums, zoos, libraries, aquariums and more. The Dallas Arboretum, for instance, is a garden of blooming delights that will take your mind off pretty much everything and definitely get you grounded.

The world-class gardens are just 6 miles from Lennar’s Prairie Creek community, with new homes for sale in Dallas, TX, Several of the Metroplex’s myriad of renowned museums, including the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and the Museum of Biblical Art, to name two, all just minutes away from some of Lennar’s most sought-after communities.

Parks and recreation:

Dallas’s eye-popping 400-plus parks span some 21,000 acres, 10Best says.  Outdoors, too, is arguably the best and safest places to be. Oh, and Texas boasts the biggest sky anywhere.

A popular destination includes North Lakes Park, less than a mile from Lennar at Fireside Park, with new homes for sale in  Denton, TX. There, you’ll even find an airfield for remote-control planes, a wildflower trail and fishing lake.

Reading:

For those on the, let’s say, bookish side, reading is actually fun. DFW offers any number of reading activities.  Lennar at Copper Creek, with new homes for sale in Fort Worth, TX,  is a quick 2.7-mile drive to Fort Worth’s Library, which offers reading programs, as well as the Fort Worth Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge. Copper Creek, like many Lennar communities, features a pool, where you can take your latest book and read poolside.

Food:

Food trucks are on a roll again. Once you’re out and about, you’ll see plenty around to sate your hunger for foodie faves. Dallas, after all, was named Bon Appétit’s 2019 Restaurant City of the Year, so you’re bound to run across truckloads of fun foods.

Planning:

Look beyond the big-sky horizon, and start planning—as in, way ahead. Plan for college; DFW delivers dozens of institutions for higher education. Lennar’s Wells Park, with new homes for sale in Plano, TX, is just miles from the University of Texas at Dallas. Plan your next big foray to other places you haven’t experienced here. Create a bucket list of all the fun things you want to do this year, in two years, or five years from now.

While you’re planning fun outings, Lennar urges everyone to call around to see what’s open and take any necessary precautions. To learn more about new homes available now, check in with Lennar’s Dallas-Fort Worth Internet Sales Consultants at (866) 314-4477.
