These digital days have turned Zoom sessions into a verb, but now is the time to think outside the screen. Invite your community’s musically inclined teens to serenade your loved one from the sidewalk or lawn. Form a community caravan with honking well-wishers. Ask family, friends and neighbors to decorate the honoree’s yard with balloons and bunting, posters and pennants.

Mail it in: Ask friends and relatives to make personalized cupcakes or other favorite treats for a birthday or gender-reveal party and simply mail them to your new Lennar home.
